September, 2019 – Accepted into the 2020 Taiwan Ceramics Biennale!

The results are in!  “Wildwood Vessel” has been accepted into the 2020 Taiwan Ceramics Biennale.  Thank you to the good folks at Yingge Ceramics Museum.  I’m very pleased to again have my work featured in the museum.

 

September, 2019 – Sneek Peek: “Into the Forest” show @ Warehouse 416!

Very pleased with this selection of works.  This is my first attempt at highlighting a series of pieces all of which incorporate elements of sculpture and drawing together.  Stop by Warehouse 416 to see the rest of the pieces!

 

August, 2019 – Sneek Peek: “Four Squared All Stars” show @ Arc Gallery!

This years Four Squared show at Arc Gallery is my favorite show of the year.  I was asked to make 16 pieces, each one to incorporate elements of hand, mask, and head.  Stop by to see the other 14 pieces on display!

March 2018 – Celebrating Ten Years at Creative Growth

Can’t believe I’ve been teaching ceramics at Creative Growth Art Center for 10 years!  Where does the time go?  Love the artists at Creative Growth!

 

February, 2018 – Bas Relief for “48 Pillars” show

Tried my hand at bas relief. I really enjoyed working at this scale. See the finished piece in the Sculpture section of this site.

 

September, 2017 – Yingge Museum of Ceramics

I’m grateful to have been invited into the “Domestic Mysteries” exhibition at the gorgeous Yingge Ceramics Museum in Taiwan.  Thank you Anthony Merino, Nel Bannier, Delia Lin and the rest of the museum staff for putting the exhibition together.  Also thank you to Ting Ju Shao and Wei-Tien Chang for being so welcoming. I’m also grateful to have such humble yet talented and supportive people in my life.

 

May, 2017 – Sculpture Finds a Home!

“Remains of an Old Fire” has found a home in Oakland!  Thanks you Dave and Danielle!

 

March 2017 – Potters of Peace

A little donation to the Potter for Peace organization. PFP teaches people around the globe how to establish factories to make Ceramic Water Filters, providing affordable clean water to millions of the world’s poorest people.

 

October, 2016 – Sculpture Finds a Home!

“Ramora”, “Shepard”, and “Abrupt Divisions” have found their home in San Francisco!  Thank you Marta and Greg.
